Spherical roller thrust bearings
BUT spherical roller thrust bearings can take over heavy axial loads in one direction and simultaneously radial loads. Due to design of their raceways, they are self-aligning, which makes them insensitive to the shaft deflection or misalignment between shaft and housing. They are mainly manufactured in three configurations, depending on bearing size: EM type, with one-piece machined brass cage guided on the shaft washer; EMEVO type, with one-piece EVO machined brass cage guided on the shaft, where the axial forces are transmitted via the cage-guiding sleeve; and EJ type, with a high-strength pressed steel cage guided on the shaft washer.
